The Bell Shakespeare Company
The Bell Shakespeare Company is Australia's only national theatre company. Formed in 1990 by its Artistic Director, John Bell AM, the company is renowned across Australia for its cutting edge contemporary productions.
The Company's primary objective is to make Shakespeare accessible to as many accessible to as many Australians as possible. In 2001, we expect to reach over 250,000 people across Australia through our three Mainstage productions, one regional production, Primary School production and our extensive Actors At Work programme.
