WAVA (World Association for Voice of Animals)

WAVA (World Association for Voice of Animals) is a non-profit charitable organisation committed to fighting animal cruelty and promoting respect and humane treatment for all animals.

Since its establishment, WAVA has been actively involved in a wide range of issues including inhumane slaughter of abandoned pets in Japan, the torture of dogs and cats in South Korea, and commercialisation of Australian wildlife.

We affiliate and coorperate with animal protection groups in Australia, Japan, the U.S and other parts of the world. We work closely with Japanese government authorities, frequently providing information and assistance to improve animal welfare.

WAVA is actively involved in:

* Campaigning to change and enforce animal protectione legislation;
* Campaigning against inhumane slaughter of unwanted pets;
* Promoting sterilisation of pets, funding desex and return programs and encouraging responsible pet ownership;
* Educating the public to choose cruelty-free products (e.g, cosmetics NOT tested on animals, non-fur clothing);
* Campaigning against implementation of Japanese Government program to eliminate non-native species of wildlife;
* Campaigning to end commercialisation of Australian wildlife;
* Pressing for the use of alternatives to animal experimentation;
* Encouraging vegetarian lifestyle.
