FBi 94.5FM

Donations to this organisation are tax deductible  This organisation accepts volunteer labour

FBi [aka Free Broadcast inc.] was established in 1995 in response to a strong outcry from Sydney's music and arts communities demanding a radio service focusing on the city's cultural life. After a lengthy campaign for a full-time licence, the Australian Broadcasting Authority granted FBi a licence to broadcast across Sydney on 94.5FM.

August 2003 saw the full-time launch of FBi - a station committed to promoting 50% Australian music, arts & culture content, with half of that from Sydney artists.

At it's core, FBi is an open-access organisation, providing opportunity for Australian artists and young people. FBi is a volunteer-based organisation, operating with approx 200 volunteers at any one time, most of whom fall within FBi's 18-25y.o. demographic.
