National Vision Research Institute of Australia
The NVRI devotes all of its resources to research into the causes of blindness.
Currently major projects are under way on the mechanisms of cataract formation associated with ageing, steroid therapy and retinal dystrophy. Other major projects include, investigations on the causes of age-related macular degeneration and development of tests for retinal disease in man and animals.
