Surf Life Saving Victoria
Surf Life Saving Victoria (SLSV) was established in 1947, and protects 850km of coastline in Victoria.
SLSV has 37 Surf Life Saving Clubs involved with the provision of lifesaving services at 42 locations.
All members are volunteers, who give up their spare time to provide a safe swimming haven for Victorian beach users.
No one has ever drowned between the red & yellow flags.
SLSV performs approx. 1200 rescue each summer and a total of 22,000 since 1947
SLSV also provides surf safety education to schools and administrates the sport of lifesaving.
