Ipswich Arts Foundation
The objects of the Ipswich Arts Foundation are to generally assist, maintain and to improve the facilities and operations of Global Arts Link and the future Cultural Facilities undertaken by the Ipswich City Council. The Ipswich Arts Foundation raises funds through grants and corporate sponsorships and the general community for the benefit of the people of Ipswich.
Global Arts Link (opening in May 1999) was created in Ipswich's amazing old town hall which opened in 1861. It's the oldest town hall in Qeensland and has been completely renovated and extended to present an interactive multimedia history of Ipswich, a program of international standard visual arts exhibitions, Australia's first permanent children's art space and more.
