GUIDE DOGS QUEENSLAND
Guide Dogs for the Blind Association of Queensland provides support and services to blind and vision impaired Queenslanders.
These services include Guide Dogs, orientation and mobility training for the white cane, residential programs, counselling services and special education for children.
Guide Dogs Queensland receives less than 7% government funding, for some specific rehabilitation services but none for its Guide Dog Services.
The association relies on community and corporate support, through puppy sponsorship, volunteers and Bequest programs,as well as fundraising events to raise funds.
