The Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute has as it's mission "the relief of pain and suffering and the promotion of well-being, through an understanding of the fundamental mechanisms of cardiovascular biology in health and disease".
While the Institute conducts research into all forms of heart disease, it has as its primary focus "the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of heart muscle diseases".
