The OzPol Community Care Association Inc. is a non-for profit ommunity organisation commited to caring for the frail older Polish, Latvian, Lithuaninan, Russian and Ukrainian origin people according to the principles of respect and traditions.
All caregivers involved in this programme shall carry out their functions with sensitivity to the specific cultural beliefs and traditions.
OzPol's main aims are to support frail, elderly people to remain in their own homes and within their community, to improve the quality of life of the frail, elderly person who lives in the community and to support family members to care for their frail relatives.
OzPol's workers assist our clients with personal hygiene, home maintenance, shopping and meal preparation, laundering, transport to appointments and bills paying. We also aim to provide family care givers with respite from caring, provide transport to respite centres and social gatherings.
Applicants are assessed by the Aged Care Assessment Team to determine their eligibility and the level of care required.
The program is government founded however the receivers contribute towards the cost of services received according to the government recommendation.
Confidentiality is strictly observed and all caregivers involved in this programme carry out their functions with sensitivity to the cultural and linguistic needs of our clients.
