WIRE- Women's Information is a free information, support and referral service for the women of Victoria. Operating within a feminist framework, WIRE�s Telephone Service and Women�s Information Centre aim to empower women to make confident choices for themselves.

The Telephone Service can help with issues about domestic violence, sexual assault, family life & relationships, health and well being, women professionals and trades women, education and training and legal issues.

The Women's Information Centre complements the phone service with its broad range of pamphlets and other printed materials Women can also access WIRE�s extensive database of services and use the Internet and word processing software to follow up issues relevant to their lives.

WIRE was formed in 1983 by the combined efforts of many organisations. Women had many questions concerning major life choices and their basic human rights and were seeking complex support and information to help find solutions. The same is true today.

WIRE aims to be accessible to women across Victoria and to provide them with services of the highest possible quality, delivered in a way that acknowledges and validates their experiences.
