WIRES is a non-profit, non-political free volunteer service. WIRES has over 1600 volunteers who rescue, rehabilitate and re-release native animals. NSW's largest wildlife rehabilitation organisation, WIRES volunteers have rescued over 250,000 native animals since 1985. WIRES responds to more than 100,000 rescue calls a year.
