The Portsea Camp
The Portsea Camp (formerly the Lord Mayor's Camp for Country Children) has been providing holiday experiences for Victorian children since 1946.
Children who are disadvantaged or who have special needs are sponsored to come to camp along with volunteers from their local areas.
An extensive week long program of activities is run by volunteers with children's health needs being met by a small team of voluntary medical staff.
The camp receives a great deal of support from Rotary and other service clubs, the Scout Association and the RSL.
The camp is located in Portsea and offers disadvantaged and special needs 9 to 12 year old children the holiday of a lifetime.
