Cockatoo Rescue
Cockatoo Rescue is the trading name of the Cockatoo Rescue Charity Trust.
Cockatoo Rescue runs a sanctuary for abused, neglected, unwanted and bequeathed pet Australian native parrots, particularly Sulphur-crested cockatoos and pink and grey galahs.
We have a large main aviary measuring 8m x8m x 4m in which live trees grow and the birds can swing, bathe, climb and dig.
The charity was created as the founders were distressed at seeing pet parrots being kept in small cages never having the chance to fly. The parrots entering the sanctuary will never be sold, bred from or rehomed.
It is not our intention to 'collect' as many parrots as possible, but to provide a safe happy home for those pets in desperate need. The focus will be on ensuring that overcrowding does not occur. Donations are needed to build aviary extensions as parrot numbers increase.
Donations are unable to be made by credit card at this time, but cheques/money orders may be made payable to "Cockatoo Rescue" and sent to the address shown. A receipt will then be issued to you. Our website is under construction and the details will be added to this site ASAP.
Your donation of money goes to:
