National Ageing Research Institute
The National Ageing Research Institute (NARI) is the only national medical research facility in Australia to focus exclusively on the symptoms of ageing.
The vision of the Institute is to be the centre of excellence in Australia in health research (biological, clinical and service delivery) into the causes and consequences of ageing and its social accompaniments.
NARI undertakes scientific research into clinical issues of ageing including memory (dementia and alzheimer's disease), falls and balance and pain management, provides a Biological Research Laboratory, undertakes medication trials, and has a Public Health Research Division and an Education Division.
