Children's Protection Society Inc.
The Childrens Protection Society opened its doors in 1896, a turbulent time in Australias history which was reflected in high levels of addiction, homelessness and social alienation; a situation not dissimilar to that in which we find ourselves today.
The Society aims to prevent child abuse and neglect in the community through education and awareness programs, and provides support services where physical, emotional, psychological or sexual abuse has already occurred.
The Society's Vision today is that all children will thrive in safe families and communities. The Children's Protection Society provides leadership
in the prevention and reduction of abuse and neglect by:
* delivering innovative support services to children and their families.
* raising public awareness of the extent and impact of child abuse and neglect.
* strengthening families and communities to create safe environments for children.
The Society relies on individuals, business, Trusts and government to continue its current services and to develop new and innovative services to keep children safe and strong.
