 4215 The Humour Foundation promotes the health benefits of humour through talks, workshops and the CLOWN DOCTORS.
Sick and injured children in hospital are often afraid, in pain, dispirited, or anxious. Clown Doctors bring support, fun and laughter to the children and their families. They gently parody the hospital routine to help them adapt to hospital, distract children undergoing medical procedures,help them feel like normal kids again and maintain a positive outlook.
The Clown Doctor program is hosted by all major Australian children's hospitals.
Clown Doctors are highly skilled professional performers, trained by The Humour Foundation in working in the hospital environment.
