Australian Cancer Research Foundation
ACRF is a non-profit charity dedicated to helping find a cure for cancer through the continued support of world-class research in Australia. We fund groundbreaking research to ensure that the best and brightest researchers continue to be drawn to this increasingly relevant and prevalent problem.
We fill in a critical need in the community by awarding major capital loans, in excess of $1.5 million to fund research and finance facilities not provided for by State or federal medical grants bodies.
Every dollar of every donation we recieve goes to cancer research. We receive no government assistance and are completely reliant on generous public and corporate donations.
We have given away over $40 million and we want to give away so much more. Cancer affects one in three Australians and we ask that you help us in our mission to defeat cancer forever!
Some of our successes include Professor Ian Fraser's discovery of the cervical cancer vaccine, Prof Hogg's discovery which has the potential to indicate in 24 hours whether a particular chemotherapy drug is working and many more.
Donations to the foundation range from $2 to $500,000. Donations over $2 are tax deductible.
