THE AUSTRALIAN LUNG FOUNDATION
The Australian Lung Foundation is dedicated to assisting the relief of people suffering from lung disease and promoting lung health in Australia.
The ALF was launched in 1990 by a group of physicians concerned about the chronis shortage of funds for potentially life-saving research in respiratory medicine.
The ALF sets out to be a key agent of change in Australia to promote the understanding, management and relief of lung disease. It mission is to: raise funds for vital medical and scientific research; reduce the emotional and financial burden of lung disease on patients and their carers; educate the community in lung health and influence public policy.
The ALF depends upon public and corporate donations, bequests, fund-raising activites and grants.
