Australian Speak Easy Association
The Australian Speak Easy Association (ASEA) is the peak body representing people who stutter. It is a self help group run by volunteers and has been operating in all states of Australia since 1980. ASEA provides information, resources, support, advocacy, National Conferences and lobbies government for a better go for people who stutter.
Approximately 2% of the population stutter. It can have a profound negative effect on a persons ability to communicate, socialise, find work and generaly lead a normal life.
