Environmental Defender's Office (NSW)
The NSW EDO is a non-profit, non-government community legal centre that helps individuals and community groups working to protect the environment. It is part of a national network of EDOs, specialising in environmental law.
The office takes an active role in law reform, including providing advice on environmental laws, planning, local government matters, heritage and natural resource laws.
The EDO's community education programs promote participation in environmental law.
The EDO regularly publishes bulletins and environmental law resource material, written in plain English.
