TEAR Australia
TEAR Australia is a movement of Australian Christians that has been responding to the needs of poor communities around the world for more than thirty years. Rather than establish its own projects, TEAR's policy is to support the relief and long-term development initiatives of indigenous community-based Christian groups. Priority is given to those programs which strive to fully involve the most marginalised and exploited members of each community.
Started in 1971 as The Evangelical Alliance Relief Fund, TEAR Australia is fully accredited with AusAID, the government department responsible for managing Australia's international aid program.
