The Telethon Institute for Child Health Research is an internationally recognised, world-class research facility dedicated to improving the health of children.
Under the leadership of Professor Fiona Stanley AC, researchers focus on those illnesses, diseases and disabilities which are the most costly to our community. Research is focussed on prevention and improved treatments and the ultimate aim is cure.
The main areas of our research are Aboriginal health, asthma and allergies, birth defects, disabilities and death, infectious diseases, leukaemia and cancer and youth suicide and mental health.
