Youth With A Mission - Reef to Outback
Initiated by current directors Ken and Robyn Mulligan, Reef to Outback was founded in 1996. RTO is non-profit training organization playing an interactive role in the life of Townsville and it�s people. We are a registered training centre, which offers mentoring courses to young people from diverse backgrounds and nationalities. RTO focus on character and leadership development with our predominant focus being to enable young people to find their potential value and direction in life.
RTO is part of an international organisation called Youth With a Mission (YWAM). YWAM has over 1000 operating location and is in over 135 countries around the world. There are over 16,000 full time volunteers in addition to the tens of thousands of young people per year who experience a six-month training programme.
RTO not only trains young people in the areas of leadership, serving, character development, communications and many more things. But we send teams of youth out on short-term trips to East Timor, Thailand, Fiji, Tonga, and throughout Australia.
It is on these trips that our teams share their Christian faith through actions as well as words. This is done through building, running school programmes, and many more things.
