Brain Australia
Almost every Australian family will be touched by disorders of the brain which also include brain injuries as a result of alcohol and drug addiction, Alzheimer's Disease, Autism, brain and spinal cord injuries, brain aneurysms, Cerebral Palsy, chronic pain, encephalitis, head injury, Huntington's Disease, Hydrocephalus, Motor Neurone Disease, Muscular Dystrophy, Multiple Sclerosis, peripheral nerve disease, sleeping disorders, Tourette's Syndrome, vertigo and balance disorders.
The Brain Foundation was established in 1970 by members of the Australian Association of Neurologists and the Neurosurgical Society of Australasia, to reduce the incidence and impact of disorders through the provision of support, community education, and research.
