AFTERCARE
Aftercare exists in order to assist people with mental disorders live a valued life in their chosen communities through the provision of high quality and timely services.
Key programs include rehabilitation, recovery and skills based learning services based on best practice standards that are driven by the needs of people with mental disorders, that is people who have a mental illness, an intellectual disability or other complex needs.
Aftercare recognises the value good governance and promotion of healthy lifestyle, service coordination, education and information and research.
The organisation was formed in 1907 and is the longest serving, non-government organisation in NSW.
