Australian Refugee Association
The Australian Refugee Association (ARA) is a non-government organisation and a registered charity.
Established in 1975, ARA seeks to enable refugees to settle in Australia with independence and dignity, and to develop and achieve their aspirations and opportunities in life.
ARA also assists asylum seekers, family and friends of refugees, community members, former refugees and migrants from similar backgrounds.
ARA provides advice, assistance, advocacy and practical help in areas of settlement, migration, employment, community education and policy-making.
CURRENT APPEALS
The Asylum Seeker Fund - Money and non-perishable food items are needed for asylum seekers in the community who can not work, nor have access to Centrelink or the Red Cross Asylum Seeker Fund.
