African Relief & Welfare Agency
Created on the 26 Feb 2005 and officially launch by the Attorney General, Mr Philip Ruddock on the 03.June 2006, the African Relief & Welfare Agency Inc (ARWA Inc) is a non-political and non-profit overseas aid organisation based in Australia that aims to provide direct relief from poverty.
ARWA Inc has set up a development-relief aid strategy for Africa in times of crisis. We believe that integrating development with relief aid can relieve immediate suffering while building community capacities.
This concept of community development is turned into action through supporting partner agencies to work with poor communities that are taking their own path to development, through community self-help, self-reliance, and local participation in the implementation and management of activities.

Our overseas partners are involved in various programs related to the provision of direct Relief of poverty, sickness, destitution, suffering or misfortune, health, education, sanitation and clean water. Each activity is a different response to poverty. In this capacity, ARWA Incs prime task is to promote and support sustainable development programs/projects.
