YMCA Open Doors
Australia is facing a health crisis with the rise in obesity and lifestyle related diseases. These health problems are more likely to afflict people who are facing socioeconomic disadvantage and these same people often can't afford to access the programs and services that could help them address these problems.
The Y is working on a solution. We aim to help more people reclaim their right to a healthy life.
YMCA Open Doors
YMCA Open Doors aims to ensure no-one is denied access to our programs and services that strengthen the body, mind and spirit, particularly due to an inability to pay.
It's an important initiative to assist people experiencing disadvantage in our community access to many life benefits offered by the YMCA.
By opening doors, we hope to close the gulf between the health 'haves' and 'have nots'.
